Things To Keep In Mind Before Buying Your First Bike

Buying Your First Bike You have finally decided to buy your first bike. But owning a two-wheeler is not just an investment its what you feel when you ride.

Things To Keep In Mind Before Buying Your First Bike

I was thinking about many things then I was about to buy my first bike, While getting a bit of advice from people's about the better option, elder brother advised me to buy a muscular bike like Bullet or Jawa and say be a Punjabi and my friends say "bro buy sports bikes like R15, CBR300r, RR 310, Gixxer SF, Pulsar 220". sounded like "playing a little pinata on trainee ".

Going old school is a wise option.

So rather than just researching over the internet or taking advice, I started taking test rides from showrooms like  BAJAJ, SUZUKI, HERO, TVS, Royal Enfield, etc, because its an investment for me.

I must say it's a dream for each and every boy to buy his first bike on their own money.

For a middle-class boy, it's difficult to pay the whole payment of the bike in a single stroke mostly we prefer on EMI. I Must say do not take any decision in excitement or in anyone's influence because you are the only one Who is going to pay the EMI for it.

My First bike was Avenger 160 street, I bought it in just ONE LAKH TWO THOUSAND ONLY and the average is above 50+.

Here's a fun fact.

If Bajaj Avenger comes with a 400cc engine, that would be a good choice in a lower price tag. It is so funny to see the WebPages since 2017 writing about Avenger 400 as if it is already released. Real funny world we are living, I wonder Bajaj Company ever thought about it????????????

I am not advertising any bikes, But you need to choose your first motorcycle wisely, so that it satisfies your daily needs, does not burn a hole in your pocket and backs your personality.

Few points that could be beneficial. while finalizing.

1. Purpose:

To find the motorcycle that suits you best, you’ll need to think about what you want out of riding in general. Think about the key characteristics you’ll look for in a bike by asking questions such as:
  • Do you want to ride your bike as part of your daily commute?
  • Do you want to take your bike on long road trips?
  • Do you want to test your skills on a track?

2. Choose The Right Type:

Choose The Right Type
There are tons of different types of motorcycles out there, and each is good for a different type of rider and a different type of riding.
SportsBikes
Cruiser Bikes
Naked Bikes
Off-Road Bikes

3. Bike cost:

Bike cost
After firming up your decision to buy a new bike, you should first choose your budget and set a limit. The amount of money that you can spend on your bike will help you narrow down on your options.

4. Handling:

  • I can say before you go for milage you should go for handling first because when you are riding the bike over the highway or street safety comes first when you buying a bike
  • Your body has a much closer relationship with a motorcycle than it does with a car or truck. A motorcycle needs to be comfortable for your particular body shape, so spend some time sitting on the bike and feeling out its height and weight.
  • It’s also key to get a bike that’s not too heavy for you. Many cruisers and touring bikes are on the heavy side, making them potentially tougher to handle for beginners and easier to drop.

5. Mileage:

Mileage
Mileage is an important performance indicator of an automobile that determines the distance it can travel in a particular amount of fuel. In fact, it is a strong decision-making factor when it comes to purchasing a new bike.

6. Service Center:

Service Center
  •  As a part of your selection, do find out where the service centers of the manufacturer are located.
  • Yet another factor to consider regarding the servicing and repair of the vehicle is the availability of spare parts. It often happens that the spare parts of a particular brand or manufacturer are not easily available which can delay the repair of the vehicle.

7. Cost Of Maintenance:

Cost Of Maintenance
If you own a motorcycle, chances are high that you use it on a daily basis. It is important that you take care of your motorcycle so that it runs at an optimum level.
In addition to regular servicing, here are a few tips, tricks, and techniques that you can use to ensure a trouble-free bike ride.
  • Check the engine oil regularly
  • Check the brakes
  • Check the tires
  • Monitor the bike chain

8. Resale Value:

Resale Value
When buying a two-wheeler, the brand of the vehicle plays an important role at the time of its re-sale. The resale value of a vehicle depends mainly on its brand, condition and year of purchase.

Rather giving more importance to looks only, think about the above-mentioned things.

Definitely, I write more blogs in the future on Comparision on different bikes, the difference in their EMI, Averages and About bikers CLUB and many more, it will definitely help you
